I'm Not Faking
I sent an email to my boss on Tuesday that read, "I'm leaving at 1p.m. today and not coming back." That wasn't a forever threat, just for that day. I went to the doctor too. Well, not the "doctor" I went to a "Doctor in a Box". My current family doctor has a 3-4 day waiting list. I could be dead by then. I really need a new doctor. So I went to an Instacare. Many of you already know that I'm involved with Bye Bye Birdie for Taylorsville (opens tomorrow!). We have had everything pass through the cast. We've had stomache flus, sinus infections, bronchitis, appendicitis (ok, that isn't catching but one of our cast members does have it). As I mentioned in my previous post, I woke up Tuesday feeling terrible. I went to the doctor because it seemed like a sinus infection and I can't afford to be sick too long so I went to the doctor first thing. When I get there, the nurse and doctor treat me like I'm lying and faking it. I don't go to the doctor for a cold, if it's a cold tell me and I'll go on my way! So the "doc in a box" looks in my ears, my throat and taps my sinuses. That's it. Then says I have a sinus infection but it's viral so it's no big deal. Then gives me a prescription for decongestion. (they have to do prescriptions for those now because apparently drug dealers use something in it). And that's it. No antibiodics, just a decongestion. I still feel like crap but I can breath a bit better. Maybe it's just me, maybe I don't need an antibiodic but you shouldn't treat people like they're wasting your time. What ever happen to bedside manners?
