Hutch and I have season tickets to the Capital Theater's "Broadway Across America" which means we have season tickets to the Broadway touring shows that come through. We originally signed up for season tickets so we could have guarenteed Wicked tickets. Well our tickets were for last night. I was unable to attend because we had a Bye Bye Birdie performance. Stephanie and I decided to buy tickets to the Saturday matinee so we could still see the show. It's The Drowsy Chaperone. It was originally opened on Broadway with Sutton Foster and I love Sutton Foster. She is extremely talented. So I'm excited to see the show. Then last night Stephanie receives a text message from her sister Colleen (Colleen used Steph's ticket last night. My mother-in-law Dorene used mine). And it said "You will never look at Gilbert Blythe the same again" we both looked at each other confused. Is the character Gilbert Blythe in it or is the actor Jonathan Crombie in it? We asked and yes! Jonathan Crombie is in The Drowsy Chaperone. Which means JONATHAN CROMBIE IS SALT LAKE CITY RIGHT NOW!!!!
For those of you who know me, know that I love Anne of Green Gables and I love Jonathan Crombie. Who doesn't? So Stephanie and I have decided that when we go to the show Saturday afternoon we are going to wait outside the back stage door for an autograph and hopefully pictures. My mom said that this musical is now her new favorite musical and Hutch said he loved it and wants the soundtrack. So if you get a chance, get some tickets before it's over. David and I will be at the matinee, too! And I know exactly what you mean about Jonathon Crombie...my best friend and I used to watch "Anne" nearly every weekend. Sigh.

I heart him as well... and to be able to go with you my favorite, and to have our other favorites there too!! Very cool!
