Burned!!

"Thus goes everyone to the world but I, and I am sunburnt."
~Beatrice Much Ado About Nothing

Good Idea:
Water aerobics with friends. Exercising and getting healthy is great!!
Bad Idea:
Not bathing in sunblock first.

I was going to include a picture of my beautiful sunburn but I'll have to add that when I get home. We moved our class to 2 p.m. because a good chunk of us had things in morning. I did put sunblock on but apparently not enough. It hurts!! I stayed home from church yesterday because I couldn't put anything constrictive on my shoulders because it hurt too bad. Sleeping is also a fun activity. I'm burned on my back, my shoulders and my upper arms. Thank goodness for aloe and a nice husband to put it on me.

Even with the sunburn, I still had an enjoyable weekend. Steph and I were parade announcers for the Midvale City's Harvest Days. We are hilarious! We also "won" and award for "best parade announcers". Saturday evening at the Midvale Park they had a group called "Imagine" perform. They are a Beatles band. They were really good. They started the concert in black suits and ties for the Beatles when they were young. Then after intermission they put on their brightly colored "Sargent Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band" outfits for older Beatles. After "Imagine" was "Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band." I really like them and they put on a great concert. I don't like that they have "battle of the instruments" as often as they do though. I don't mind when they do that occasionally but it seemed like they did it for every song. But on the whole, it was really enjoyable. Then after them were the fireworks. They started right at 10 p.m. and went for 30 minutes. It was a great show!! This was also Midvale City's 100th year so Happy Birthday Midvale City!!!

I'm sad I missed your announcing. I could listen to you for hours. (I know because I have!)

Next year I'll be there.

I heard the fireworks from my house and just assumed they were for my birthday. :)

They were for your birthday Wretch. It was just a clever plot to get Midvale to pay for them!
