My boss gave me a copy of "How to Win Friends & Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. He asked me to read it and we'd discuss it together. The tag line for the book is "You can go after the job you want - and Get It! You can take the job you have - and improve it! You can take any situation you're in - and make it work for you!"
Part 1 Chapter 1 Title: If you want to gather honey, don't kick over the beehive.
Do I really need this book? I don't think my attitude is too bad. I have plenty of friends. Do I really need to "win" more?

You're AWESOME the way you are! I wonder why he would want to give you that book! You are AMAZING!
Who's your boss again?? Giving pointers, eh? Well - I too feel 'victim' to that - and he is in no way connected to my employment. I think sometimes people need to look in the mirror to give advice, rather than directing it at others. What do you think? Does this situation qualify? I love you how you are, too. Keep that cute chin up. :)
I ment 'fell' - :)
When I was the deli manager at Macey's all the managers would read a book like that every quarter or so. Don't be offended. I think you're great the way you are and have been an avid fan of your friendship skills since 1986.
