Fiesta For The Rest Of Ya!

So today at work we had a Fiesta BBQ. Why? I'm really not sure. Our company likes to have little get togethers everyone once in awhile to show us that they care about us. I don't really think they do, but they put on a good show. One of our companies 2008 goals is to save money and to go "Green". Since we are trying to keep with company goals we had paper plates that were thrown away and a ton of dinky things that we probably shouldn't have spent money on. They also printed out a ton of flyers announcing the fiesta. I received at least 3 that I put in my recycle box but I'm pretty sure most people just threw them away.

They had a plastic blow-up catcus drink holder. I'm including a picture so you'll be able to believe me. They also decorated the tables with toys and mints. They had bead necklaces, marracas, little hats, and the little toy that looks like the karate tool that Mr. Miagi uses in Karate Kid 2.

For our Fiesta we had burgers, hot dogs, beans, cookies, potato salad and soda (not a churro in sight!!). The food was pretty good. I enjoyed my burger and hot dog. The beans and cookies were also good. I did not try the potato salad but I'm very particular about my potato salad. I don't really like it, but every once in a while someone will make one that I don't mind.

My friend Heather and I sat together in the corner. We had some fun playing with the toys that were given to us. Heather found some helpful uses for the small hats. The one she's displaying isn't the funnest idea she had.

They also had a hat contest. Everyone was supposed to wear a hat and they gave away prizes in different categories. I didn't win any. :( A lot of people wore sombreros. I wore Hutch's Mickey Mouse top hat that we got on our Honeymoon. My boss Todd put the mustache on me. I think it goes with the outfit quite well.

Another friend of mine at work named Mallory, wore a scarecrow hat. She was also given a mustache. I don't know what it is about Todd (my boss) and putting mustaches on girls. When you take it off you don't have to worry about waxing for a while . :)

I got sick of wearing the mustache after awhile so I wore it as a unibrow. I looked good! Too bad I didn't get a picture of that.

At the end of the party we were told to take the toys with us. My first reaction was "what the crap am I going to do with these?" Then Todd told me to put the maracas next to his balls on his desk. He has chinese relaxation balls on his desk. So I gathered it all up and will decorate his desk with it all.
