Wonderful Friends

I have been truly blessed to have wonderful friends. They always seem to know what to say and when to say it. They can sense when something is wrong with me, even if I haven't said anything. I was having a bad day a week or so ago and one of my dear friends, Jessie, sent me a card. She is currently living in Minnesota so was not able to come over and eat ice cream (ice cream usually helps the situation). She is a hilarious girl and I wanted to share the card she gave me.

The front: A picture of a little girl sitting on a donkey.
"Nothing much happening Here..."

Inside: "Just sitting around on my ass and thinking of you."

I laughed out loud (LOL Out Loud!)! That is hilarious!! Then it gets better, she wrote a message. It read, "When I'm feeling down I like to think about others. I think about ugly people and I feel a little better I'm not one of them. I think about people who go on reality shows to find Mr. Right. I feel a little better I'm not an attention- desperate, back-stabbing spoiled brat. And I think about people who fall. They make me laugh."

I was in tears reading this. I actually have read this card everyone morning since I've received it so I can start each day with a good laugh. Thanks Jessie for the card. I miss and love you too!!

For Kellie

Dear Kellie,
I'm sorry you felt so neglected. I adore you and thanks for being as cynical of others as I am! :) heehee!! We still need to meet up and go to Morelia!

Happy Birthday Hutch!!

Today is my sweeties birthday!
I'm sorry you have work today and class tonight. Not the best way to celebrate your birthday. I'm so happy you were born and came to be in my life. I love you more then you could ever know! I hope your birthday still is fun.

Letters

Dear John McBride,
You are amazing! In all of the productions of Phantom and Phantom of the Opera that I have seen you are the most talented, phenominal and most emotional Phantom out there. You knew how he felt. You became him. I was brought to tears because I felt sorrow for all that he went through. Sometimes the Phantom is portrayed as a monster, you did not portray him that way. He was a real person, with feelings, and an unstable mental state. I wish words could express how wonderful of a job you did. Thank you for sharing your talent.

Dear Liz,
Why the secrecy?

Dear Steph,
Thanks for listening. I know you are trying to make me see both sides and I've been refusing to see it. Thanks for understanding my feelings and for still loving me through my mental state. Also, thanks for getting Lost with me. Let's get Lost together again soon! And thanks for knowing what I need to hear. Even if the gestapo blocks it.

Dear Cherie,
Thanks for coming to rehearsal and reading lines. It did help out a lot. Thanks for seeing and understanding what I've been going through with the cast. Also, thanks for letting me take your family once a week for this silly play.

Dear Heather,
Thanks for getting a mini-makeover with me. I love the bare minerals and I'm glad we did that on our lunch break. We should do things like that more often.

Dear Ains,
Thanks for being my friend and playing with me.

Dear Twins,
Thanks for inviting me to your Easter egg hunt. It was a lot of fun. Thanks for the hugs and kisses that you shared with me.

Dear Duncan,
You are the sweetest boy in the entire world. The talent you have in conforting people is way beyond your years. Thank you for loving me and telling me the things I need to hear. Also, thanks for teaching me how to play Lego Star Wars and for being patient while I kept killing your guy instead of the bad guy.

Dear Jessie,
Thanks for the card. I needed it. A lot.

Dear Guy Who Thinks His Desitnation is More Important than Mine,
I'm sorry you felt I was going to slow even though I was speeding. I'm sorry if you were late to your destination. Please understand that I can only go as fast as the car in front of me.

Dear Becky,
Thanks for being my sister. I don't know if we picked each other in the pre-existance but if we did, I'm glad of it. I had a lot of fun this weekend with you. We should do more things together. Thanks for sharing your feelings about everything and for listening to me share mine. I love you!

I'm Writing

I had a friend email me and tell me that I haven't blogged since the 1st and she is bored so I need to blog so she can read it.

Yesterday, while working, I was listening to the soundtrack of Jane Eyre. One of my favorite musicals; even though I have never seen it. I adore and love the music. Jane is one of my dream roles. I even have a friend who would be an incredible Mr. Rochester. I've seen most of the movie versions of Jane Eyre and love them all. I have not, sadly, read the book. It's on my list. I will probably love it even more when I read it. So if anyone is looking for a show to direct, direct Jane Eyre and cast me as Jane. :)

Speaking of listening to music, I put my Zune on shuffle before listening to Jane Eyre and the song "Battle Hymn of the Republic" by the Tab Choir came on. I love that song and that version. When I become famous and the Tab choir asks me to sing with them, I hope they will let me direct them singing that song. The arrangement is genius! It pulls at my heart strings. I was actually tearing up (remember I'm at work) while listening to it. One of my co-workers asked if I was ok and I said I just yawned really big and it made my eyes water. I'm such a lier but I don't want my co-workers to think I'm a heart filled person. :)

Saturday was Girls Night Out for the women in my family. I was in charge this time. The women in my family came over to my house and we had a sandwich bar, root beer floats, and a Mamma Mia sing-a-long. It was a lot of fun. Thanks ladies for coming and singing your hearts out. Next time it will be a "Sound of Music" sing-a-long!

I did make call-backs for Seussical. I'm very excited and a bit nervous. I prefer auditions to call-backs because at auditions you don't have 5 or so people singing and performing the same thing as you. The comparisons and the cattle call can stess anyone out! :)

Silly Worry Wort

I worried too much about my audition. It went fine. I chickened out on belting the really high notes but it went ok. My favorite part of the audition was seeing so many people that I hadn't seen in a long time. Kate: you looked gorgeous last night!! Completely stunning! And you rocked the song! Mel: I didn't get to hear your whole song since I was in the back helping a friend pick his song but from what I could hear, you were great!! Nice belt!!! And thanks for letting me look through your book. Annika and Megan: you two are jewels! I know you were both nervous but you both did wonderful!! So adorable! Jones Fam: I didn't get to see all of you audition but the ones I saw did great! Especially Little Jones, you're adorable! And don't worry, you did awesome. Colleen: You rocked it! Don't worry! You were hilarious! You picked a great song and you had fun!! They loved you! Debbie: You can sing girl!! So don't fret! I also loved your book! Other Debbie: You did great on your song! Your kids are adorable and did awesome too! Spencer: You're hilarious! Please don't steel all of my friends. :) Leave me some of them. I told you being yourself would be the best thing to do. Great job on the song! Especially since we picked it a little bit before you sang it. Steph: Thanks for smiling and making it not so nerve racking.

I know there's more who audition but I didn't get to see everyone or I might have forgotten a few. I'm sad I missed seeing those who auditioned early. Good luck everyone!!
