I'm Writing

I had a friend email me and tell me that I haven't blogged since the 1st and she is bored so I need to blog so she can read it.

Yesterday, while working, I was listening to the soundtrack of Jane Eyre. One of my favorite musicals; even though I have never seen it. I adore and love the music. Jane is one of my dream roles. I even have a friend who would be an incredible Mr. Rochester. I've seen most of the movie versions of Jane Eyre and love them all. I have not, sadly, read the book. It's on my list. I will probably love it even more when I read it. So if anyone is looking for a show to direct, direct Jane Eyre and cast me as Jane. :)

Speaking of listening to music, I put my Zune on shuffle before listening to Jane Eyre and the song "Battle Hymn of the Republic" by the Tab Choir came on. I love that song and that version. When I become famous and the Tab choir asks me to sing with them, I hope they will let me direct them singing that song. The arrangement is genius! It pulls at my heart strings. I was actually tearing up (remember I'm at work) while listening to it. One of my co-workers asked if I was ok and I said I just yawned really big and it made my eyes water. I'm such a lier but I don't want my co-workers to think I'm a heart filled person. :)

Saturday was Girls Night Out for the women in my family. I was in charge this time. The women in my family came over to my house and we had a sandwich bar, root beer floats, and a Mamma Mia sing-a-long. It was a lot of fun. Thanks ladies for coming and singing your hearts out. Next time it will be a "Sound of Music" sing-a-long!

I did make call-backs for Seussical. I'm very excited and a bit nervous. I prefer auditions to call-backs because at auditions you don't have 5 or so people singing and performing the same thing as you. The comparisons and the cattle call can stess anyone out! :)
