RSVP

R.S.V.P. or "Repondez s'il vous plait" is a French phrase that means, "Please Answer". The literal translation is "Respond, if it pleases you." No, I don't speak French, I have a dear friend named Wikipedia.

I'm starting to think that many people don't know what RSVP actually means. I'm throwing my sister-in-law a bridal shower and on the invite I put to RSVP to me and left my phone number. I'm having people call me and say they are RSVPing for Tif's shower...then they say nothing. So I have to ask, are you attending or not attending? Then they tell me they're attending but think it's weird I'm asking like they've already told me. RSVPing means your calling to tell the person if you are coming OR not coming; not just that you are attending.

I don't mean to embarrass or offend anyone who was not aware of this or anyone who has done this for this particular party. I just want to inform everyone what it actually means. See, I'm being informative, not mean. :)

This is me at 25 weeks. Yes. I'm huge. No. I'm not having twins, just one. (and I've only gained 3 pounds - I don't look like it but that's what the scale says) I will admit that this is an unflatering picture. I took it myself at the end of the day. So I'm tired and don't have much makeup on. I'm also suffering from pregnancy acne. It's annoying. But I've been asked time and time again to post a pregnant picture so I am. I figured if I post one that doesn't make me look that great, when you see me in person you'll think, "wow, Candice you look great!". :) Heehee!!

Also, for those that have been asking, Perrin is doing great! He has a strong heartbeat and everything is looking great. I'll be taking my glucose test on March 17th so I'm hoping everything turns out good with that. He's moving alot. He really likes music. He seems to dance around during certain songs. Hutch still hasn't felt him. He stops moving when Hutch puts his hand on my stomach. It's funny that I can feel him move around A LOT when Hutch talks to him but he won't kick or move so Hutch can feel it. He likes to tease his dad.

My sweetie just showed up at my office with a really big Jamba Juice. He said that he knew I'd love that more than flowers. I love him so much!!!

I must talk about how wonderful Hutch is. He is the best husband in the world! He has been taken such great care of me. He makes sure the dishes are done, he does the laundry, he helps full fill my cravings (He is more than willing to take me to get smoothies or shakes - like tonight - and I blame Steph for the reeces shake cravings after she made me a great one) and he will massage my back and feet anytime I need it. I feel very spoiled! He is so loving and caring and is going to be such a wonderful father.

Hutch I love you very much and I'm thankful that you picked me. You are my other half and you make me who I am. I seem to fall in love with you again and again each day. Thank you for everything!!!

Bette Midler Saved the Day

Not just Bette Midler but "Songs for a New World" saved it too. Over the weekend our server was changed over to the church's server. It has caused so many problems today. Everyone is on edge at work. I finally have email and my computer drives but I don't have any printers. It took me a while to get my email and my drives. It took calling many different IT people and finally a co-worker who figured it out himself showed me. To sum it all up, it's been a day!! And it's only 11 a.m.! But there has been two things that have helped put a smile on my face. When I went to Las Vegas I went to the Bette Midler store. I couldn't afford to go to her concert so I went to her store instead. While I was there I bought a Bette Midler mug. I decided to bring it to work today to drink out of. It has saved me. It is fun to look over and see my mug. It's like having a part of Bette with me. It's something fun in my life during this chaos of work.

While they were switching over our servers, they also decided to put in new computers. So I lost all music that was saved to my computer. Luckily I saved all of my music to my Zune so I didn't lose anything. But I don't have my Zune program on my computer anymore so I can't move any music back to my computer. I do, thankfully, have some CD's in my desk. One is a copy of "Songs for a New World". That has also put a smile on my face. Thank goodness for items that help me make it through the day. Now if I could just print...
