Suess!!

"Oh the Thinks you can Think!"
I can't believe that the show is over! The past few months have gone by fast. It seemed like forever ago that we started, but the performance dates came up quickly. This production has been one of the best I've been involved with. I loved working with every single person (and married...heehee!!) in the show. The talent overwhelmed me. Everyone gave 100% to make this the best production. We even broke some attendance records. My body is happy that the show is over so it can rest and heal but my heart and spirit are sad that I can't dance and sing around the stage with everyone.

Things I learned during Seussical:
1. When the internet says you are a certain size in men's shoes if you wear an 8 1/2 in women's, they lie. Buy one size bigger.
2. Men's clothing is not always flattering on women.
3. White girls can sing with soul.
4. Don't trust a bird with big feathers. She'll just get you addicted to pills and dump her kid onto some helpless guy.
5. Taking the shirt off of a 12 year old girl is very nerve racking.
6. There are plenty of people in the theater world willing to violate you to put your mic pack on and off of you.
7. Faux-hawks are styling!
8. Throwing fake snow at people is really fun.
9. If you talk to the audience, someone will always respond.
10. Water is our friend.
11. Potty Trains are the most fun trains to be on.
12. No one likes "barbie" hands.
13. There's always room for another ripple.
14. If you can't remember your line, just yell "Tree!"
15. Sometimes you have to double up the "mic protectors" and apparently the brand matters.
16. Kids will always love you and hug you when you're not feeling like yourself.
17. Don't trust monkey's or eagles.
18. Sometimes the person who can help you out the best is as close as next door. They'd be willing to trample through trees, be attacked by a vicious dog and break their little toe to help you find what you need.
19. The theater world isn't perfect, but we do our best.
20. A person's a person, no matter how small.

To my loving Seussical cast, I love each and every one of you and I hope that you always know how much you mean to me. You will always be in my heart. To the production staff, thanks for your hard work and for showing us we can do more then we think we can. To my besty, I love you very much and thank you for this opportunity. Also, thank you for showing things about myself that I don't notice or forget. Thanks for always believing in me.
