The Oscars!!

Best Oscars Ever!! Hugh Jackman is an amazing host and should do it more often! I loved the musical numbers! I really like how this year they had 5 previous winners of the actor awards say something about each nominee. It makes being nominated just as important as winning. It lets each person be recognized and praised for their talents.

I was very excited to see Slumdog Millionaire win Best Picture. It completely diserved it! I loved that they had the entire cast come up on stage instead of just the Producer. I loved that they flew all of the little kids in for the show too.

I do have to admit that I was sad that Sean Penn won. I might be the only person in the whole world who feels that way but I'm not a fan of Sean Penn. I don't know if it's his acting or his politics that have given me that opinion. It's great to have an opinion and to stand up for what you believe but if that's all America knows about you, isn't that bad? Has anyone ever seen Sean Penn happy? Has anyone heard him say something that isn't political and against someone else? Just my little opinion. I think Frank Langella diserved the Oscar more. A lot more. He was phenominal!!

But it was a real fun night. We had a party at my sisters house with a ton of food! I had clear plates with the actor/actress nominee's faces shlacked to the back of them, we had Oscar coasters and the Best Picture nominees posters all over the room and lot more. My mom even made an Oscar rice krispy treat. It was awesome! It was a really fun night! I would have won the prize for guessing the most but since I bought the prize I didn't include myself in it. My mom won the winner prize and my brother-in-law won the loser prize, again. :)
