Love My Hutchy!

I must talk about how wonderful Hutch is. He is the best husband in the world! He has been taken such great care of me. He makes sure the dishes are done, he does the laundry, he helps full fill my cravings (He is more than willing to take me to get smoothies or shakes - like tonight - and I blame Steph for the reeces shake cravings after she made me a great one) and he will massage my back and feet anytime I need it. I feel very spoiled! He is so loving and caring and is going to be such a wonderful father.

Hutch I love you very much and I'm thankful that you picked me. You are my other half and you make me who I am. I seem to fall in love with you again and again each day. Thank you for everything!!!
The picture of Hutch is at the Coke Factory. Isn't he cute!! The second photo is outside the Paris Hotel and Casino. Yes, this is a prego picture.

Bette Midler Saved the Day

Not just Bette Midler but "Songs for a New World" saved it too. Over the weekend our server was changed over to the church's server. It has caused so many problems today. Everyone is on edge at work. I finally have email and my computer drives but I don't have any printers. It took me a while to get my email and my drives. It took calling many different IT people and finally a co-worker who figured it out himself showed me. To sum it all up, it's been a day!! And it's only 11 a.m.! But there has been two things that have helped put a smile on my face. When I went to Las Vegas I went to the Bette Midler store. I couldn't afford to go to her concert so I went to her store instead. While I was there I bought a Bette Midler mug. I decided to bring it to work today to drink out of. It has saved me. It is fun to look over and see my mug. It's like having a part of Bette with me. It's something fun in my life during this chaos of work.

While they were switching over our servers, they also decided to put in new computers. So I lost all music that was saved to my computer. Luckily I saved all of my music to my Zune so I didn't lose anything. But I don't have my Zune program on my computer anymore so I can't move any music back to my computer. I do, thankfully, have some CD's in my desk. One is a copy of "Songs for a New World". That has also put a smile on my face. Thank goodness for items that help me make it through the day. Now if I could just print...

Patriotism At Its Best

I love it when people show their patriotism. So I had to share it with everyone.

New Place

I love food. I'm pretty sure that's something that everyone knows about me. But indeed I do love food. I love GOOD food. I guess I should be more specific. I'm not going to eat just anything, I can be picky. When I find a new place (a new place to me) and I really like the food, I like to pass the word on.

The new place that I discovered is called "Smash Burger". Have you heard of it? I went to the one on 2100 South and just above 10th East in Sugarhouse. I must say, one of the BEST burgers I have had. You can tell that the meat isn't a frozen patty and that the meat isn't cooked until you order it. The flavors in the meat were so good. I had the "Beehive Burger" which is pretty much a BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger and I could taste every flavor. Some burgers they just run together. So if you're looking for a burger joint to try, go and eat at "Smash Burger". There are three locations in Utah. You can get more information at www.smashburger.com. For those of you who want a healthy side of burger they do have Chicken Burgers too. And for those who don't care for the healthy side, they have shakes and malts too!

No Phone Zone

Millions of people text, talk or e-mail on their cell phones while driving - a recent survey finds that 71% of people between the ages of 18 and 49 admit they text or talk on the phone while they drive.

If you think you can call, text and drive at the same time, you cannot. That message you can't wait to send could kill. Distracted driving is an epidemic that is sweeping through our country, claiming lives and destroying families.

In Sept 08, an LA commuter train conductor missed a red light while sending and receiving more than 40 text messages. His packed train collided head-on with a freight train, injuring 135 people. The conductor and 24 others were killed, making it the second worse communter train crash in US History.

Weeks later, a school bus carrying 21 students was rear-ended by an 18-wheel semitruck. The bus was pushed more than 200 feet before bursting into flames. Twenty students escaped, but 13 year old Margay Schee was killed. The truck driver admitted he had been texting and hadn't seen the bus was stopped.

These accidents made national headlines, but so many others have been killed in communities just like yours. Nearly 500,000 people are injured and 6,000 are killed each year because of drivers talking, texting and emailing behind the wheel. This needs to stop NOW. No phone call or text message is so important that it has to be answered immediately. It wasn't necessary 10-15 years ago, why is it necessary now. If I'm in your car and you answer your phone, I will ask for you to pull over and let me out. I don't want your phone call to kill me or someone else.

If you're still not convinced, please watch this video.

Please make the pledge to make your car a NO PHONE ZONE.
